Let us know what you’re looking for, and we’ll help match you with the right Artist and schedule a time that works for you!

WHAT HAPPENS AT MY APPOINTMENT?

At your appointment with Liquid Gold Tattoo Studio, we’ll start by discussing your tattoo design ideas in detail to ensure it’s exactly what you’re envisioning. Your Artist will go over the design, make any requested adjustments and prepare the area for tattooing. They’ll answer any questions you have about placement, size and the overall process. Once you’re happy with everything, your Artist will set up the equipment, using single-use, disposable tools and maintaining a fully sanitized workspace to ensure safety and hygiene. During the tattoo, your Artist will guide you on what to expect and ensure you’re comfortable. At the end of the session, you’ll receive aftercare instructions to help your tattoo heal perfectly. We’re here to make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible!

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

To get the best tattoo experience, we recommend a few key steps to prepare for your appointment. First, get a good night’s sleep and stay well-hydrated to help your body handle the process more comfortably. Eat a solid meal before coming in, as this helps maintain your energy levels. Avoid alcohol or blood-thinning medications like aspirin for at least 24 hours beforehand, as these can affect healing.

Wear comfortable clothing, especially around the area where your tattoo will be placed, and consider bringing a water bottle or snack if it’s a longer session. Feel free to bring reference images or notes on your design ideas to help your Artist understand your vision fully. Finally, relax and come with an open mind - your Artist is here to guide you through every step!

HOW MUCH DO TATTOOS COST?

Tattoo pricing at Liquid Gold Tattoo Studio varies based on several factors, including the size, placement and complexity of the design, as well as the amount of time required to complete it. Generally, smaller tattoos with minimal detail may cost less, while larger, custom, or more intricate pieces will require a higher investment due to the time and expertise involved.

Our Artists offer a range of rates to suit different design ideas, and we’re always happy to provide estimates based on your concept. During a consultation, we’ll discuss your design in detail and give you a clear understanding of the pricing structure. For accurate pricing, it’s best to meet with an Artist in person to discuss your design goals.

SHOULD I TIP MY ARTIST?

Tipping your Tattoo Artist is customary and greatly appreciated, as it recognizes their skill, time and dedication to creating your custom artwork. While tips aren’t required, they’re an excellent way to show gratitude for a job well done, especially if you’re thrilled with the result. A common guideline is 15-20% of the total cost, though you’re welcome to tip more if you feel the experience and outcome exceeded your expectations.

At Liquid Gold, our artists take pride in delivering the best possible tattoo experience, and your support means a lot. Whether you leave a cash tip or add it to your card payment, it’s a meaningful gesture that acknowledges their craft and commitment.

HOW LONG DOES A TATTOO TAKE?

The time it takes to complete a tattoo varies based on several factors, including the design's size, detail and color, as well as your skin type and how well you sit through the session. Small, simple tattoos might take under an hour, while larger pieces or intricate designs could take several hours or multiple sessions to complete. For example, a full sleeve or back piece might require several sessions spaced out over weeks or months to achieve the best results.

During your consultation, our Artists will discuss your design with you and provide a rough estimate of how long it will take. This helps you plan your appointment accordingly, and we’ll make sure to give you breaks if you’re in for a longer session. Remember that patience is key - great art takes time!

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?

Yes, you’re welcome to bring friends! We understand that having someone there for support or just to keep you company can make the experience even better. At Liquid Gold Tattoo Studio, we have a spacious waiting room with comfortable couches where your friends can relax while you’re getting tattooed. However, due to space and safety guidelines in the Artist’s area, friends will need to wait in the lobby during the actual tattoo session.

Feel free to bring them along to share in your tattoo journey!

ARE TATTOOS SAFE?

Yes, tattoos are safe when performed by trained, licensed professionals using sterilized, single-use equipment in a clean environment. At Liquid Gold Tattoo Studio, your safety is our priority. We adhere to all health regulations, including Florida's strict licensing requirements, and our Artists are certified in bloodborne pathogens. All needles and tubes are single-use and disposed of safely after each session. Our studio follows stringent sterilization and sanitation practices, and we use top-quality, skin-safe ink.

Before getting a tattoo, it’s important to communicate any skin sensitivities or health conditions with your Artist to ensure a safe, positive experience.

DOES IT HURT?

Yes, getting a tattoo does involve some level of discomfort, as the process involves needles piercing the skin. However, the level of pain varies greatly depending on the tattoo’s location, size and your personal pain tolerance. Areas with less flesh, like ribs or feet, may feel more intense, while areas with more muscle or fat, like the arms or thighs, can be more manageable. Many clients describe the sensation as similar to a light scratch or a warm, buzzing feeling.

Our Artists at Liquid Gold Tattoo Studio are skilled in making the process as comfortable as possible, ensuring that you feel relaxed and at ease. If you’re concerned about pain, feel free to ask us questions, and we can provide tips for managing discomfort during your session.

CAN MY TATTOO BE COVERED UP?

Yes, many tattoos can be covered up with a new design. Our Artists specialize in custom cover-ups that are tailored to conceal your existing tattoo while blending seamlessly with your desired new look. The success of a cover-up depends on factors like the size, color and age of the tattoo you’d like to cover. Darker inks may require more extensive designs or strategic shading, while older, faded tattoos can be easier to work with.

At Liquid Gold Tattoo Studio, we’ll consult with you to understand your vision and ensure the cover-up works with the existing tattoo. If needed, we may recommend laser fading to lighten the original tattoo, which can create more flexibility for design options. Stop by or schedule a consultation to explore your options for a high-quality, lasting cover-up!

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE ROUTINE?

Each tattoo artist at Liquid Gold Tattoo Studio, through their own experience, has developed their own preferred method of healing a tattoo. After your tattoo session is complete, your Artist will thoroughly explain their version of tattoo aftercare to you, and they will also present you with a printed version of Liquid Gold's general healing plan. Please listen to these instructions, and follow what your Artist has recommended to you.
